Loisium Wine Spa Resort
Langenlois, Austria
Steven Holl and Fabiao Solange, 2007
For this 82-room resort, set in a verdant landscape, where Nature and architectural design join to form a singular balance, Steven Holl and Fabio Solange selected the Soft handle. The strict geometric lines of the rows of vines is a theme that carries over into the architecture of the buildings and is echoed in the interior decor.
An almost abstract visual language, the limited palette of colors – metallic ones predominate – and austere structural lines are the repeating elements found in every detail, like the Soft handle by Steven Holl and Fabiao Solange.
